La défense (Paris), la City (Londres), Francfort sur le Main ; ses quartiers où villes évoquent immédiatement aux connaisseurs les grands grattes-ciels d’Europe. Seulement, depuis une décennie environs, de nouvelles villes comme Madrid, Moscou (…) ont décidés de leurs faire de la concurence sur le point vertical. De plus, des villes moins importantes (Lyon, Marseille, Lille…) vont construirent eux aussi leurs propres monuments.
Voici un rapide tour d’horizon de ce qui se fait en ce moment en matière de buildings et ce qui est prévu :
*Pour les grandes villes :
- Moscou, a récemment construit d’importants buildings et s’apprête à ériger la Tour de Russie (500m) qui sera à terme le plus haut bulding d’Europe. De plus, il y a actuellement en chantier La tour du Nord, La Tour Mercury City…
Ci-contre, la Tour de Russie qui atteindra 500 mètres au niveau du toit et 612 mètres à l’antenne. Ce sera le plus haut gratte-ciel d’Europe et le 2ième du Monde (après le Burj Dubaï).
- Madrid construit également d’important buildings : la Torre de Cristal (249 mètres) et la Torre Sacyr Vallehermoso (236 mètres) ont été livrées en 2007 / 2008. Ces derniers font actuellement partis des plus grands d’Europe mais seront vite détronés par les projets à venir (Paris, Londres, Moscou…). Pour ce qui est de Madrid, d’autres tours, plus petites ont récemment été construitent ou sont en construction.
* Pour les villes Françaises :
- Lyon. Après la tour Oxygène (117 mètres) actuellement en construction et dont la livraison est prévue pour 2010, la tour Incity (180 mètres ) est actuellement en projet. La construction de cette tour devrait débuter en 2012 : avec ces nouveaux projets, Lyon a pour objectif de concurencer les grandes villes d’Europe en matière de Tertiaire.
- Marseille aussi veut se lancer dans un dévellopement à la vertical. En effet, plusieurs grattes-ciels sont prévus pour le quartier d’affaires Euroméditerranée (dont la construction devrait s’achever en 2012) tel la nouvelle tour de l’armateur CMA-CGM (148 m), les buildings des celebrissimes Jean Nouvel et Jean Baptiste Pietri ou encore l’Euromed Center (complexe qui acceuillera des cinémas et des hôtels).
- Lille. Le quartier Eurallile ne suffit plus ! La capitale des ch’tis prévois la construction de 2000 logements, 70000 mètres carrés de bureaux et une quantité incroyable d’espaces publics. Quand aux tours, on ne sait pas encore s’il y en aura dans ce nouveau quartier dont les premiers mètres carrés seront livrés d’ici 5 ans.
- Autres villes. Ces prochaines années devraient voir le jour de nouveaux quartiers d’affaires dans les grandes villes de Frances. Brest, Bordeaux, Nantes, Orly (ce n’est pas vraiement une grande ville), Rennes (…) vont bientôt se métamorphoser en villes ultra-modernes.
* Paris et Londres, la compétition fait rage :
Depuis de nombreuses années, Londres et Paris construisent des grattes-ciels à n’en plus finir. Et la fin n’est pas pour demain ! En effet, Londres prévoit la construction de nombreux bâtiments de très grande hauteur (Shard London Bridge, de 310 m pour 72 étages, la tour Bishopsgate Tower de 288 m) ainsi que 30 autres projets de grattes-ciel de plus de 150 m de hauteur, le tout dans le but de transformer la ville et en faire une ville mondiale. Paris ne veut pas se laisser concurencer dans la course aux grattes-ciels : des tours futuristes devraient voir le jour à travers la ville, nottament à La Defense où la Tour T1 (185 mètres) a été récement livrée (mai 2008). Toujours dans ce quartier, devraient voir le jour la Tour Signal (encore en appel d’offre au moment où l’article est écrit, et qui devrait mesurer entre 280 et 310 m), la Tour Phare (300 mètres)… La plupart de ces nouveaux buildings ont la même tendance : être écologique !
